I hired this company to install a water heater I purchased and was quoted $187 per hour depending on how long the job took. The technician was on site from about 9:30 AM to 11:22 AM and finished cleaning up in under two hours. After the job, I was presented with an invoice for over $800 based on 4 hours of port-to-port billing that had never been disclosed. After calls with the office, the invoice was changed to 3.5 hours (over $600).
I paid for two hours based on the hourly rate I was quoted, even though the job took less time. A neighbor later told me they had a similar experience with unexpected travel charges. Make sure you get all pricing and travel charges in writing before scheduling or save yourself the stress.
